Please note: “everyone who works retail, admin, or labor” is pretty much everyone. I can’t remember the last time I worked somewhere without “security” cameras that monitored employees.

I’m having a good laugh right now because our associates just got collectively reprimanded for leaning on the counters during 8 hour shifts on their feet, because it isn’t “professional” looking.  So apparently they can put up with a camera over their shoulder to make sure they do their jobs correctly, but a cop with a gun cant?

Do cops want CCTV cams removed from businesses and streets? If they don’t want to monitored on their jobs, why should everyone be monitored at theirs (and in their LIVES)? Oh, it makes cops’ job easier to have a video record of crimes and infractions? Huh.
HUH.

I work in an office and not retail, but I also know that every website I visit, and instant message or email I send is monitored and stored by my employer.

Also, surveillance cameras in public areas are nearly everywhere in America, watching just about everything completely innocent people are doing.Police should be held to a higher standard than the public they are sworn to protect, and the data shows that cops equipped with cameras are simply better cops.

1. Don’t try to piss quietly. Nobody in a public restroom thinks you’re knitting in your stall. They came to piss, just like you. And if you have to take a dump, do it. Get over your fear of public toilets. It’ll make life a lot easier.

2. Masturbate. Masturbate a lot. Talk about it with your friends. You’ve got the right to make yourself feel good and brag about it just like all the boys with extra large kleenex packages on their desks.

3. If you want the large fries, get the large fries. Hunger and appetite are nothing to be ashamed of, just human. Don’t ever feel guilty for eating in front of others. You need to nourish your body to stay alive. We all do.

4. Laugh as loud as you have to, no matter if you snort or gasp or literally scream.

5. Fart when you have to.

6. Always remember you weren’t born to visually please others. Forget the phrase “what if they think it’s ugly”. If you think it’s lovely, it is lovely. You wanna wear it, wear it!

7. Speak your mind! You can learn to do so without insulting others or shoving your opinion down other people’s throats.

my mom has been a cop for over 20 years and she is the one who constantly warns me about police aggression and young male cops and told me that if you’re ever alone on a rural road and a cop throws their lights on to put on your four ways and drive to the next gas station before stopping because so many cops are scum and it’s not worth the chance of getting hurt. the fact that SHE feels the need to tell me this shit scares me to death

To the person reading this: I love you for who you are, and despite how downcast or depressed or unworthy you feel, I’m glad you’re still alive at this present moment.

For some reason I always remember this one TV show I watched as a boy. I can’t remember the name of it or who was in it or even what any of the actors looked like. I just remember it was the usual television comedy, and the jokes were funny and they made me laugh. It was about a married couple with young kids living in a small house or apartment and they’d been married a few years and they had the usual struggles over money and time and work and things, and they were fighting a lot and taking shots at each other, and being a TV show it was funny, and as it got time for the show to end of course they had to wrap it all up neatly.

So in the middle of their fighting the couple notices in the TV guide that their favorite old movie was going to be on at 2 am, a movie they’d seen in the theaters when they were dating, and they reminisce about how life was back then and all the plans they had, but most of all how much in love they had once been. And they have the great idea to go to bed early, set their alarms, and get up at 2 am and make popcorn and snuggle together on the couch and watch this old move. And of course remembering all this all the problems seem small and manageable and they remember once again how much they love each other and love conquers all and the show ends with them hugging and kissing or something and it cuts to commercial. The End.

But for whatever reason I sat through the commercials and the closing credits came on. Just a picture of their house or building from the exterior, with the credits rolling. But the sound is still going, and the couple is fighting. The alarm went off at 2am, but apparently they turned it off and slept through their favorite old movie, and it’s the next morning and they’re fighting just like the day before, and the kids are late for school and telling mom and dad all the stuff they need done that they forgot about and life goes on as it always does with them yelling and screaming and mad at each other.

That was the realest bit of TV I ever saw.
